It can be used from the first days of life (using a baby reducer / nest, like our Bissone to keep the little one more snug and contain his movements), or from 5-6 months as the first bed just after the cradle.
The bed is designed so that the short and long side fences can be added or removed as needed. Otherwise you can add fences and use the side rail so I don't fall or use some large cushions.
